the subsonic filter is like a high pass filter for sub sonic frequency, it is essential if you have a ported box so you dont let too low of frequencies (lower than the port tuning)

for example if you had a ported boox tuned to 36hz you would want the subsonic set to around 30hz so the sub does not loose too much suspension.

Its new to the KAR line as they did away with class T designs for good.

The KAR 1000.v1 is a mono version of the xxk2500(they did not bring that big 2ch design into the Foose line). Take a look at its thd specs @2ohm (0.05%) on their product catalog

Its lower than their KAR stereo models. IMO an excellent value for substage from a great manufacturer, proven design- being priced in their lower line.

Im looking at the product catalog right now. and it says the S/N ratio is >112dB

is that right or a typo?

Im thinking this would be great amp for my IDMAX. 1000W@2ohms and its underpowered. Ill get atleast 1100W.
