Call DJ, probably your best bet. In the mean time we can do some trouble shooting.

Are all the wires tight and everything? How is the ground, is it a good clean sanded contact to the chassis/frame/battery? Do you have a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM)?

no multi meter, the ground is perfectly fine.im going to hook it up to my girls system tomorrow and see if anything happens.what do u mean not again?
I'm not sure what he meant by not again or not another one or whatever he said, but if you are sure the ground is good, I recommend borrowing a multi-meter, or purchasing one. In my opinion a DMM is the most useful and important tool in car audio period. If there is a harbor freight around you locally, you cang rab one for like $3 - $5. If not, Home Depot / Lowes / Walmart generally have some for about $15-$20.

try jumping the rem terminal on it to the power terminal. Does it power up?
It is powering on though, it just turns off after whatever amount of time he specified, so that shows it is getting power through the remote terminal at least at some point. Try jumping as he suggested though, it may give some info.

With a DMM, what I'd recommend is set the meter to read DC voltage up to 200V or 20V depending on your meter's range, and check the voltage, and the remote voltage to see why it is turning off.

My guess, one of those wires are either shorting out on something, or are bad connections, causing the voltage to fall too low for the amp to come on after a minute or two.

here's the thing i have had this set up for a couple months and it has never gave me any problems.then i go to get in my car after work and it doesnt want to power up for more then like 10seconds.i will try all of your sugestions in the morning after i try and hook it up on my girls system to see if it is just my wiring or not.
