Hey guys I own a Aq1200D on 2 10 SDC2.5s and it just seems like the amp doesnt push the subs to the max potential.

I'm on stock electrical (2002 honda accord 4 cyl), big 3 and optima yellow top.

i was wondering what was the true RMS wattage for these amps at a normal 13 volts. Since these amps are rated at 14.4, I doubt theya re putting out 1200 rms at 13 volts..

Also, would I notice a difference if I switch the AQ out for a SA-1500? I see those amps are rated at 12.8 volts,a more realistic car voltage at full tilt.

If your cars electrical system cant hold 14.4 at full tilt then you should upgrade electrical. 14.4 is around what your alternator should be charging at which is why some amps are rated at that. And you should step up to a 2,000 rms amp to give you some headroom and not start clipping.
