I've heard many good things. I don't think you'll get much better in that price range other than the Alpine Type R.

I am in the same boat as mlstrass though, a friend has a few coming this week or next.

I would definately pm Jeremiah25 and talk to him.... he actually has some experience with testing them

I plan on get 2 myself bc I hear they have great SQ, but can get loud as well.

I just installed a 15 in a friends Monte Carlo. 3.5 cube tuned to 35hz, it was a old box, not tuned properly for this particular woofer. I was AMAZED with the output and clarity. The sub was run off a 4 channel bridged. The sub was seeing at most 150~ rms and WANGED.

Great sub for the money, and i would highly recommend.
