Aq 18s

Ok i have about 3300 rms to play with and am thinking about these to hdc Aq 18s would 7 cubes a piece work and wat should i tune to for a daily setup i was thinking low like 32 htz but i want a decent range of notes so should i go 35-38 htz ?? Thanks

Never tune an AQ that low. DD and AQ light high tuning and will still hit good low. Tune 36 at lowest, AQ recommends 40 and I think DD recommends 37.

wow thanks for the heads up did look at the site yet so would 7 cubes at 40 htz still hit say a 32 htz tone ok ? I am a flex guy but like it loud and know the higher the tune the louder it normally gets

Personally I'd go around 38hz but... that's the resonant frequency of my car so that gets loud. I think you should be okay anywhere from 38-40 for what you want.

Oh, I also forgot to say 7 is probably too small for two of these, AQ and DD call for very close specs to each other and DD 18's are supposed to have 6 per.

i meant 7 per sub so 14 total. Its going to be a blow thro in to my single cab 1500

Well as fast as i made this thread that deal has fallen thru. So i might just bite the bullet and buy to new sundown 18s. Wat kinda tune and box size should i go with. I only have 3300 rms to work with a 1 ohm. Thanks

Get two xcon 18's, 390$ each.

Should be nice. just don't go that low on the tuning. 35hz should be low enough.
