Usually that's a blown fuse between the front and rear but it can also be a poor ground or a bad battery. Also, gain is not something to turn up and down. It should be set correctly and left alone. And, turning it down when you have low voltage will not stop the amplifier from clipping, it will just lower the rail voltage at which it clips.</p></blockquote><p></p>
