HAHAHAHAHA NOOOOO dupstep did NOT stem from reggae. Thats a fucktard statment, although there is many reggae dupstep mixes, its from england man. It stemmed from people slowing down D&B and adding longer basslines with breakbeats. D&B started late 80's early 90's. Look it up

Ive been a promoter and been a large part of production for the largest electronic partys in houston, tx for over 3 years. Been into the scene for 6yrs, we have had partys with over 2500 attendance regularly. Even brought in headlines such as Ana sia, boregore, rusko, heavy grinder,ect...c. Honestly though the best experience u can have is about 800-1000ppl in a small warehouse in downtown. Most look like they are about to fall apart and abandoned.

I agree about the last part. But when I said it stemmed from reggae i shortened it. Reggae has a sub genre, dub. And electronic/jungle/dnb started mixing it in since it had slower, more relaxing beats and made it into a genre of it's own. Thus dmz, skream, benga, vexd, bar9, caspa, etc were born. now grime has stemmed from dub via datsik, excision, distance, cookie monsta, and so on. That's the long and short of it. I
