Hey guys whats up. This is a great running little computer that I used for about a year and then upgraded. This computer has been sitting in my room for about 4 months and I finally finished the quarter in college so figured I may as well sell it to help pay for tuition //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . Anyway it ran fine for me for as long as I used it and I fired it up today and ran a few games I had on there and it ran them fine. This is just a great computer for someone who is just looking to surf the net, type some reports, dl songs, play games whatever. The video card in this was one of the best ones out when I bought it The specs are

Athlon xp 1800 1.8 - 2 ghz

768 ram ddr pc2700

100 gig hard drive

geforce 4 ti 4200 video card 128 ddr ram agp

52X24X52 cdrw

network card for cable internet

Only bad thing is the case is missing a side cover that I took off to help keep the system cool. It still works great as it is right now.

I just have a P4 3.2 ghz now and don't need it. I could use the money for those great tuition costs, so please let me know what kind of offers you can make on this. I'd like to get like 275-300 shipped on it, because it is still a nice computer that will run most games easily. So pm me if you need any more information and we'll talk from there. I have a ton of feedback on here so don't worry about that at all. I am also going to be majoring in computer science in Sept when I transfer so it is safe so say I know what I'm talking about when it comes to computers. I also have A+ certification for repairing computers and have been working with them for about 8 years now. Just let me know anything else you want to know about it and I"ll be happy to tell you. Thanks a lot -Sampson

If you want pics ok, just beige case missing a side panel, but I'll take em if you want em, so let me know.

nope never played css on that comp, I play it on the one I have now because I didn't know about that game when I was using this one, but never did on the one for sale. I don't think that it would have a problem running it at all. If your used to a 3.2 ghz, 256 ddr vid card, and 2 gb ram, pushing like 500 fps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif then yeah you might notice a slight difference, but as far as being able to run the game I don't see a problem. Let me know any offers and thanks for the post.-Sampson

thanks scoob, But to be honest I don't remember if it is an 1800, 2000 or 2400 becuase I remember being able to adjust the speed in bios somewhere. I just always ran it at 1.8 ghz so I guess it has an amd 2000. I also figured that if I said it was an 1800 to be safe and someone bought it and got a 2000 or 2400 they wouldn't be complaining //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I can't recall at the moment, but thanks for the post.

that computer will run CS:source fine at lower resolutions with some of the goodies turned off.... but don't expect to jack up the lighting effects, AA etc at high res...

While this is true, if you want to play say DOD:S or Red Orchestra, you're screwed with a Ti4200 ... and, if you want to play games from 2006, it flat-out won't play many of them (i.e. Oblivion) ...
I can't say for sure because I have never tried DOD:S or Oblivion on that computer, but those games require some of the most modern shit to play, I mean I run oblivion on my 3.2 ghz, 2 gb ddr 3200, 200 gb hd, with a 256 ddr vid card and there are times where it could perform better. I never claimed this could run those games, but I have played a few games that came out this year that will work easily on this system. 1.8 - 2 ghz, with 768 ddr and a 128 ddr vid card is not that old. So yeah it is a computer that is a year or two old, but yes it will play a majority of the games out right now, just not the newest of the new that require a nice machine like oblivion, and DOD:S. I thought that had been made clear in previous posts, but I guess not. A 2 ghz 768 ddr ram, and 128 ddr vid card will run most of the games out right now fine though, and for this price its not a bad deal at all. Thanks for the post DUBB.
