[QUOTE="Prowler573, post: 1363226, member: 561023"] I would suggest about as easy as blowing any other size driver if you abuse it. I don't know how many various amps I have installed in different cars I have owned....in cars belonging to friends that I was helping them get their tunes lines out....blah, blah, blah... I know what the conventional wisdom on the subject is. I am well aware of the quite sound reasons most people think this is an absolute imperative bit of installation. I don't. Not once since I got into aftermarket mobile audio have I ever had reason to eat my words...up to and including when an ex of mine borrowed an '83 D250 P/U I had once....while she was out she left my fog lights turned on and killed the battery while she was shopping. She didn't pay attention to what she was doing when she got a jumpstart from someone and hooked the cables up backwards. ( ) Every single fuse in the truck's fusebox blew. The fuses in the sides of my amps blew (yanno - the ones that almost every amp has stuck in the side of it somewhere) The fuse that was inline on the power cable for my EQ blew as well as the one in the back of my stereo. After replacing this double handful of fuses in various sizes and types everything worked fine. *shrug* Like I said - from personal experience all that external fusing is an overrated concept IMO.
