I have them set at 125 hz they are getting the rms or just a little more so I know I didn't over power them.. i ordered 2 new rear 6.5 and I am going to pull them once they get here and do a warranty on them. And out them in my other car. But after I get these new ones. I have a pair of foam baffles would they help them from doing this again? I hate to only have a front stage. To me a front stage sounds good but at the same time it also sounds weird like I'm missing speakers.
Ive had my setup playing nicely for month or so now. The other day i was listening and it sounded quiet on the next song. So when i got home i stuck my head in the bad and noticed only 1 rear deck speaker was playing. So I tore apart the back seat and removed one and noticed under the cone where it connects to the spider that it literally tore it from that area , separated the cone from spider.. the port was passenger side facing trunk , which also was the same side that speaker ripped. I'm thinking the pressure caused the outward flex as the speaker tried pulling itself in as music was playing which pretty much over exerted the speaker.
