I have over 100lbs of meat in the freezer and I still have 4 other tags to fill too.&nbsp; //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThe story:&nbsp; Sitting in my folding canvas chair at about 7am at the edge of the creek facing inward.&nbsp; I hear something behind me, I turn and across the creek I see the 8-pointer I have been watching for a few days now.&nbsp; I take a shot and of course NAIL IT, PERFECT shot.&nbsp; It goes about 50 yards and drops.&nbsp; Then I realize, I just shot a deer on the OTHER side of the creek, it IS still our land but there is no way to get to it other than straight across the creek.&nbsp; There is an 8ft drop on both sides and the water is about 3.5-4 feet deep.&nbsp; I eventually man up, jump in the water and fight my way up the bank on the opposite side.&nbsp; About 100~ yards in I find him and start dragging him toward the creek.&nbsp; I get him to the edge and realize I am boned.I go back to the farm and wake up the brother-in-law and tell him &quot;I shot a deer, we have to go for a swim&quot;.&nbsp; We jump in the truck and head back to the deer.&nbsp; About half way he wakes up and realizes what I said and was pretty confused!&nbsp; LOL&nbsp;&nbsp; ANYWAYS, we get there and he sees what we have to do and is surprisingly OK with it.&nbsp; We get across,&nbsp; throw the deer over the edge, into the water and luckily, he floats.&nbsp; So we cross the creek and field dress him on the other side.&nbsp; We then manage to get him up the 8ft ledge/bank and into the truck.&nbsp; It is unusually warm at 50* luckily but that water was still COLD!&nbsp; We hang him in the machine shed and get to work on him.</blockquote>
