i dont know what you said, or where you said it but it dont matter...i trust RF's engineers over some guy named squeaky on the internet LOL.

its all good, when i finally get it hooked up for its owner, i will be the judge of the technology being good or bad......thats all.

It abides by the same laws of physics as every other electrical device on the planet, and compromises trade-offs I personally would not be willing to make.

 
it only draws 350 amps of current
his other amp(Rockford T4000.1) has a 500A fuse??? and its a lower line RF amp(compared to the t15k)

That's one of the "technological advances" (but I prefer to call it a trade-off) built into this amplifier.

Due to it's high internal capacitance, it draws less peak current from the electrical system. The trade-off here is that it has to keep all of those caps constantly charged.....so instead of a typical amp which might peak at 500A of current draw, then drop back down to 0 when the note is done being played...this amplifier won't have a peak draw above 350A but will continue to draw that current (atleast higher levels of current) after the note is done being played because it will have to recharge the capacitors.

Doesn't seem so fancy, in my opinion, once you realize that your only trading less peak current draw for higher average current draw.....

well, lets say the note you play lasts 5 seconds, and its doing full tilt, it could (and im not sure how long it will take it to recharge) draw 350 amps for another 30 seconds

 
it says right in the manual that an extended test tone is not what this amp was built for. This amp wasnt designed to burp, this amp is built for playing MUSIC.

Again since im the only one that has one in his possesion, you should hold off on what you THINK will happen and just wait for me to TELL YOU what happened.

dont worry im very confident this amp will do exactly what its supposed to do...

 
Re-read squeak's post.
It is a constant draw on your electrical. Not as large as other amps that can make the same levels of power but a continuous draw rather than an intermittent one.
oh my fault didnt see that:blackeye:, so that means you will have to have a dedicated alternator just for that amp right?

I would say the opposite...higher average current draw is going to put more strain on your electrical system.

I'd rather have a brief peak that the electrical system could quickly recover from, rather than a higher average draw that the system is constantly struggling with.
