i got a RF 4 channel amp, 50x4 and a two channel amp 40x2.i used the 2 channel amp to power a pair of macrom mid coz the amp have gain, treble and bass for tuning. the 4 cahnnel amp are used to power up a pair of concorde tweeter and a pair of RF 10 inch woofer(in mono). do u all think this is a good set up?

and dif i raise the woofer rating to 24db from 12db what is the different in the bass do i get?

well im not sure about the 24db to 12 db thing....but it sounds like it would be ok....i would recomend giving those 10's a little more power though.....but its really up to you...does it sound ok to u??? good luck

You need more power to the subs for one.. I would use the 4 channel for the front comps.. and the 2 channel for rear fill or something.. 12db to 24 db is gonna roll off the crossover frequencies faster..Say you have your crossover set at 70 hz @ 12db each (octave?) or progressive higher frequency? not sure which anymore haven't had to work with it in a while.... will attenuate by 12db which means you can over lap your midbass and subbass even though the midbass may be crossed over at 90-100 hz..

@ 24db you would have to set the frequencies a little closer like 70 and 80 hz so that you dont miss the frequencies in the middle. the 12 and 24 basically tell you how quickly the frequency rolloff occurs after the crossover point..Maybe you can get someone to put in laymans terms since I **** at it.
