80s freestyle was big for the dance scene. You have Noel, TKA, Covergirls, Clear Touch, George Lamond, Dino, Safire, Trinere to list just a few. I wont even mention the newer freestyle because the list spans pages on my computer.

In Toronto you had Z103.5, previously HITS 103.5

When it was HITS 103.5, it was basically the best dance station period. Then Z bought it and they started to play rock and RnB. Im talking pre 97ish.
