i don't think you can hook up a video component to an audio component. your 9835 won't give out a video signal... just audio. So you need to hook up your monitor to your video receiver.

i have a factory flip down monitor and i want to hook up a PS2, but i do not know how... can someone point me towards the right direction.. i am going to hook it up to my aftermarket headunit (Alpine CDA-9835).

Someone please help!!

You want to hook up the flip down to the PS2 and the PS2 to the Alpine

You need some adaptors man

I'm assuming there are RCA Inputs on the monitor? If so, just use the yellow, red and white set of RCA's out of the ps2. Run the video(yellow) to the monitor and the remaining to the AUX in on the Headunit. Is that what your lookin for?

my alpine cda-9835 has the AUX input. so the sound is no problem. but i think the problem i am having is the video...

Id pull the unit down and see if there are any other imputs.

that kinda looks like the S-Video plug but it doesnt have the indented top and the lil black thing on the inside...
