lookin to see if there is a population of hunters in here and if so, if ya got any advice. Looking to upgrade to a new scope for next year on my Remington 700 series 30.06 from my cheaper Tasco. Looking at a Leupold VX-L or VX III 3.5-10x50, Nikon Buckmaster 4-12x50, or Zeiss Conquest I 3.5-10x50. Zeiss is most expensive by a few hundo's but wouldnt be opposed to spending the extra money to get a better product. Any opinions or ideas on others? Thanks

The nikon you mentioned is actually what I have on my 30/06. I like it..a little pricey, but worth it I say.

For the Zeiss, I got a buddy who has one and he says its the best scope he has ever used. got his for $499.99??? Dont quote me on that but I'm sure thats what he said.

Most of us are ethical and were raised to understand that you should not torture or kill an animal unless you totally need to and that there are plenty of farms who kill animals for our food in the most humane way possible to ensure minimal suffering.

Are you telling me all of your local supermarkets ran out of every kind of meat?

every single kind! haha, nah i just enjoy the sport of it.

What do you enjoy more? Watching them suffer after you puncture them or knowing you are doing your small part in killing Mother Earth and her natural resources?
Watching you suffer. Oops, think I misread that. Go hug a tree. The deer are so thick up here, they started a special in-town bowhunt 2 years ago to thin out the population. The get into people's gardens and destroy them. The DNR knows what they're doing. Just doing population control.

I grew up in Iowa, no high powered hunting at all. You haven't truly hunted deer till you do it with a 12 ga shotgun with deer slugs, lol.

so I've heard and I want ot try it. I just started hunting regularly this season, but would love to try it next year.

I like to use this when I go out hunting Wabbits.......

you talked about having farms harvest your food, so on, and so forth, Actually, the deer population where I hunt is so outrageous that farmers near this herd have lost almost 3% of their crops due to deer, who to eat their cotton/ corn, and root up the fields with their antlers and hooves.

Does that mean that you are volunteering to be within the 3% of America who does not eat corn and who doesnt have any clothes to put on their backs? I didnt think so.....
