Or your burner laser is going bad. Those verbatim and maxwell are made very cheaply. Every once in a while you’ll come across a 100 pack or 200 pack that practically every CD-R doesn’t work. I have come across a batch or 2 before that I had to literally throw away. Yes, Taiyo Yuden is the standard in CD-R’s but they are a bit more expensive. I have had many burners go bad on me too. Almost every laptop burner I had went dead within few years. The only one that has lasted me is the oldschool external cd/ dvd burner.
