any connectors work?

i was curious if when using speaker connecters to connect to the components and amplifiers if its ok to use the ones that you would get at home depot for the electrical system or if the gold plated $5 connections really make a huge difference? Just woundering if i would be able to save $20

they would be the same except for the bling factor in showing off your stuff

As long as the connections are solid and the material does not oxidize or corode you will be fine. Any of the above can alter performance in both speaker and power wires. That is why most are gold plated, gold does not oxidize. Silver Oxide is HIGHLY conductive

I got my spade connectors that I use for my subs from Lowes. They work fine for me.
