I did from the time I was 5 till I was 29 (3 years ago). It's great exercise and it really builds confidence and a good bit of humility when you get canned by a pro. I chose to give it up to play more recreational hockey. After so long you get sick of being sore all the time and waking up at 2 am with a pounding headache. It's fun as a pastime but when you start trying to compete its almost a job. Training ***** the older you get , and you don't get any better without fighting people better than you and taking a beating.
