1977 sedan deville with 56k ORIGINAL miles on it (and i payed so very little for the car:D) after i get it painted, and the new roof put on (black, with black vinyl roof) i am thinking of bagging it.. can you guys give me an idea of cost, and what parts i would need/work entailed? i do NOT care to have it do side to side, front back, any of that nonsense. i simply want to be able to raise and lower it at will. also.. how is ride quality on bags? my navigator rides fine, but, thats stock airbags, so its a bit different deal.. thanks ahead of time!

nice new ride will defiantely look good slammed on some nice vogues and wires, um i did a little research on air bags because i want to bag my old school, you maybe be around 800- 1500 for complete system depending on what company you run with. My numbers may be a little off but thats a ballpark number

not bad at all! thanks!

It depends on how fast you want it to go up and down. If you're not worried about it going fast then probably 1500. For more money you can buy more air compressors and upgrades and it will go up faster.
i can manage that:D im not woreried bout speed at all.. just basic

Oh yeah and ride quality will be better. Plus the suspension on there right now is probably really outdated even though the car has low miles.
yea, its old, lol i dont think the shocks are worth a ****..

i read and heard that running airbags for a daily can turn into a bouncey ride.

there was this green izuzu rodeo that has airbags and driving behind it the car was just bouncing all over the place.

i'd do some research on that if i were you.

My Park Ave on bags rides pretty nice. Certainly not as cushy as the springs, but I enjoy getting a little bit of a bounce over the bumps, and it's not bouncy enough to be a problem. However, I've got shocks (struts) to go along with the bags.. make sure no matter what suspension setup you have a shock/ bag setup, otherwise it'll ride like crap.

I don't know shit about oldschool suspension setups, but my guess is it needs straight bags (no strutbags), and if I were you I'd go with Slam Specialties.. I love mine!!

If I were you I'd go with AT LEAST a front/ back setup, that way if the front jacks up faster than the back you can level out, and vice versa. That's a 4 valve system. If you're going to hit switches a lot get at least an 8 gallon tank, and 2 compressors (viair 380.. or viair 480 if you want air faster). Good water traps are a must, too.

I'd assume you could bag it for less than $1500, especially with just a 4 valve system.

That's all I got.

I laid out a 69 for less than $1500 (2100 after my labor charges). If you untake it yourself, it's a very simple install, and you can save a lot on not paying labor.

I wouldn't recommend running a f/b(4 valve) on that land yacht, unless you like a lot of bodyroll into corners.

nice!

not bad at all.. i think i will persue this..

When you get serious about it, I can point you in the right direction as far as the install, and the parts.
I wanna see that sled of the ground.
ill hit you up for sure. i need to get it tuned up and the carb rebuilt (kinda "stutters" when cold, and a few misc probs) but, in about 2-3 months ill be on teh suspension. think i MAY paint it first though..
