so I got this research paper on anti-semitism...never really realized how anti-semitic this world really is...what's wrong with people??? This world is so hateful it's sick.
I agree, but it is both ends that start shit. Come with some facts and we will discuss.

If you want to be really technical about it, yes, the Jewish community did start it. But they also spawned the other two big religions of the world. It's so much easier to scapegoat the Jews than to accept the fact that the status quo and hatred of others is the very thing causing most of the violence and death in the current middle east problem. The Isrealis are blamed for it by everyone, but the US tends to side with Isreal, simply because of the reality of the situation. If the leader of Hamas gave a **** about peace, he would've cracked down hard on the terrorist attacks. Unfortunately, he didn't care enough, or perhaps just refused to accept that Isreal is here to stay. And he paid for it with his life. Terribly sorry if I don't get upset with the Isrealis for killing the leader of an organization known to have killed hundreds of innocent men, women, and children with ******* bombings. The European nations are always quick to blame Isreal with UN resolutions, but the fact is, until a resolution is proposed to condemn the terrorists as well, the US is going to keep vetoing this process.

Both sides in that dispute are at fault, but there are extremists among them whose only goals are the complete destruction of the other side. Thusly, even if the UN decides to impose an international take-over of all of the disputed areas, it wouldn't stop things for many, many years. A proper UN occupation (make no mistake, it would be nothing less than armed soldiers on every street) would have to last for many, many years. There would be tremendous bloodshed initially. Too many "religious" leaders want Isreal destroyed, or the Arabs destroyed, or America destroyed. Only when the followers of these people begin to realize that their lives aren't so bad afterall will the violence end (ie. Iraq... in a few decades, that country is going to be one of the most prosperous in the region and the people will be living very comfortably). It's a long-term process, but everyone seems to want instant results. Sorry, but if you want to end a conflict that has been going on for thousands of years, you don't do it overnight. You don't do it in a year, or even in five years. It could well take a generation of non-hostility for peace to well and truly break out for real.

Anti-semitism is alive and well because it's so much easier to blame others than it is to accept responsibility for your actions, or those of your nation.
