another system shutting off question

alright well I've had my system in for about two weeks now and its been working perfectly until yesterdday when it decided to shut down after I turned it up a good bit but does not shut off at lower volumes. I've checked all the connections and they seem good the only thing I haven't done is scrap the paint of the ground wire spot but if it is this would it also be making my hu turn off? I've had the amp with the previous subs and they never shut off so I doubt it's the charging

Are your subs wired to the correct impedance? If they are wired too low, your amp may be pulling way too much current, causing issues somewhere.

i'm going to guess a bad ground for the head unit, and it's not getting the voltage it needs.
