I had this happen to my current Excelon HU. but it was allways the burnt cd's, and not everyone. like i would get one that was just a touch to small. i don't know if it's the same type of thing thats going on with yours though.

i only play burned Cds lol(cheap), but i think very soon im going to get an ipod and hook it up to the radio but not right at this momenet.

look into the music kegs that kenwood makes. i have one and love it. the only down side to it is u have to have the dock to make it play. but it beats constinly (sp?) breaking cd's
try any cleaning cd's?

If you are playing a lot of cheaper burned cd's, then make sure the center and edges are all de-burred. You can use the side of a ballpoint pen to run around the edges to take any burrs off.

Sounds like it can be fixed fairly easily by a tech. Its just a matter of taking the unit apart and cleaning all the moving parts. After a while all decks need this if your car is dusty alot inside. Also, do you keep your car clean inside? Do you keep your CDs in their cases when not in use? These are things than can gunk up any cd player faster than anything else.
