annoying crap...

I had this happen to my current Excelon HU. but it was allways the burnt cd's, and not everyone. like i would get one that was just a touch to small. i don't know if it's the same type of thing thats going on with yours though.

 
If you are playing a lot of cheaper burned cd's, then make sure the center and edges are all de-burred. You can use the side of a ballpoint pen to run around the edges to take any burrs off.

 
Sounds like it can be fixed fairly easily by a tech. Its just a matter of taking the unit apart and cleaning all the moving parts. After a while all decks need this if your car is dusty alot inside. Also, do you keep your car clean inside? Do you keep your CDs in their cases when not in use? These are things than can gunk up any cd player faster than anything else.

Thats good, you should. I've seen some pretty nasty interiors in my day and they always complain about skipping. LOL
