Hey, im new to andriod OS i have been an iPhone user for the past 4 years now i jumped ship and bought a Motorola Atrix. I pretty much bought it based on its pure specs and future 4g access. I dont know what to think of this phone right now. It seems like the apps are all pretty much amature and the only leg up i think the atrix has on the iPhone 4 is the internet browsing and flash. Any ideas on some cool apps or anything special i need to know about andriods?

Just browse thru the market . Honestly as far as what the atrix can do vs the iPhone is unreal. With the Droid you can run it how.you want.

Honestly when i got this samsung contiuum i will NEVER go back. Just takes some time to find the right apps that work for you

Give it a week or so.

There are so many things Droid do that an iPhone should do.

There is a learning curve, but once you get it you'll love it

+1 for root and rom (whenever you're able). My Incredible has wireless tethering and other goodies, its great

Dont ever use a task killer. They waste battery life trying to save it.

Once you can root and then use a custom rom. If you dont want a rom run the stock Gingerbread with a different kernel for improved battery life. As far as apps go grab the Amazon app store. They give away a new paid app every day. Its a great way to rack up paid apps on your account for nothing.

I hate my Droid Eris... It's gotten to the point where the hardware can't keep up with the new software, it crashes constantly, and can't run half the apps I want it to.. I'm going to be going to an iPhone this summer just simply for functionality, all of the apps are designed for that specific hardware so I won't have problems like I do now. Droid just kinda took a shit on me.
