Hey, Yesterday I wired up a 12" Alpine Type S to a MTX MXA4001. Bridged it, ran fused power to battery, ground to rear seat bolt after sanding it down a bit + the surrounded area, remote turn on to the corresponding wire in the back of my Sony MEX-DV2000 HU. Initially the amp seemed to get no power, so I assumed I wired the wrong remote turn on, so I ran a wire to my wiper fuse and hooked that up to the remote turn on, and then the amp's LED lit up red. I don't know how it is supposed to light up. Is it supposed to be a solid red? Or green = healthy, and red indicates emergency mode? I know with some MTX amps red means it's getting information from the HU, but no power. I'm not sure if it's like that with all of them? The ultimate problem is I'm getting nothing from the sub. I'm assuming either the sub connections are loose, or there's something wired wrong with the amp. Ideally it's something wired wrong with the amp, but if I can cross the amp and wiring out, then I'll have to take the sub out of the box and check the wiring. Any idea what's up? This is my first install by the way.
