Your amp 12v+ is usually a thick wire, same thickness as your ground wire. The remote input is a thin wire that is usually connected to a wire coming out back side of your aftermarket head unit. Anyone you know that can wire up car stuff can hook you up with a small wire that gets power when the key gets turned. Think of a wire that gets electrified when key gets turned. And run that wire to 'remote' on your amp.
