I have a alpine MRD-605 it goes to CUR mode when it hits a hard bass, so I have to turn off everything and then it will come back up.... when playing at low volume it works fine,,,,, can it be my wiring ? is not sheilded properly ? this happen to me with this amp once... I had everything and when I went and try to screw the amp down... once my screw touched the metal on the amp where the screw hole is... it made a little spark and the CUR came up...and i was liek HOLLY FUK... i tosted my amp..... i did some reading and if the amp code is CUR it means too much current is going to amp so it shutsoff to protect itself... my question is... is it my wiring problem ? or is it my gain is set to high ? or my subs are inproperly setup ? my subs are JL 10w6v2 i have it set as parrellel @ 2ohms... I think the battery cable and negative cable that goes to the amp.... is not sheilded properly.. I might put some electrical taape around it later to make sure.. also will put some eletrical tape around the speaker wires as well.... do you think I have a bad amp ? it worked fine for few days when I had the gains set very low.... I might have the gains inproperly set... I will also set that.... I had it set for 38Volts , according to the charts I should have it set for 34volts pleaseeeeeee help ^^
