I questioned the sub's ability to take what my amp put out, an was stated the sub would be fine. The sub is housed in a 2.5 cubic foot box ported to 33hz. Everything was done at a shop thats legit and does plenty of work and competitions. They built the box as well as tuned it and installed everything. The amp powering the sub is a RF t1500bdcp. Not even a week after install and moderate use (10-15 minutes at a time and not completely letting lose on the sub) its dead, it sounds like a **** plastic bag inside there. Its not locked up, but the sound is saying its completely dead. I turned the car off and let it sit over night to see if it just needed to cool down and still same thing. There was no burning smells or anything to indicate it was getting too hot or anything..... Can this sub handle this amp and its power? Im just so pissed right now at this sub its not even funny. I had plans to hit my 1st ever show next Saturday also and now its in huge jeopardy without a functional sub
So i purchased an XFL 12 through @mylows10; about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I had plans to hit my 1st ever show next Saturday also and now its in huge jeopardy without a functional sub :(
