Hey av8ter yes I have the dsc480. The 480 & 4125 difference is wattage. For the 4125 1) 500x2 bridged will give you 500 per side in Mono channel 2) if you bridge the amp into 2 channels you need to put amp in 2 channel mode( 2 or 4 channel). 3) if you want stereo into 2 channels you need to use a Y-adapter. 4) if you use the amp in a 3 channel mode you still need a y-adapter. You can use channels 1-2 for the front & 3-4 plus the mono out puts as the sub out puts into 4 ohms. The reason I asked who made these amps was because I called maxxsonics asking for spec, which there tech support didn't have much info on this. I needed to know what is the rated power @ 12 volts which they don't know, & they don't give these specs in there manual, website or any place. I did ask them one other question, I asked them where was channel 1-2 on the amp. I was told channel 1 was on the left top & channel 2 was left bottom. They say all there amps where set up like that, not ture. Channel 1 is bottom left & channel 2 top left. I mean this doesn't mean anything, but I ask questions at times to see if the company that makes there products know there own gear. I think the dsc amps are built very solid, nice HP xover, nice warm sounding amp. Very very great buy of amp, I like this amp better then my pheonixgold amp.
