Message: <blockquote data-quote="randomco" data-source="post: 422304" data-attributes="member: 551938"><p>my stock alternator in my truck was a 45 amp alternator,  I had to call 6 different places to finally have someone to agree to install a H/O alternator in my truck.  Seeing is that I purchased a 200 amp alternator, which is 4 times the amperage of my stock alternator.  Every place I contacted told me that it would fry everything, So finally one place agreed to install it on the basis that "they are not responsible for any complications that may result"  So I went ahead and did it.  Everything works amazingly, no light dimming, and my amp is getting all the juice it needs.  I would highly recommend getting a H/O alternator.  Also I got really lucky and found the 200 amp alternator for $175, can't beat that.</p></blockquote><p></p>
