I called support for alternator and they suggest trying another battery ( really dont want to go buy another batt ) also I know my ground connects are good. unless i didnt do a good alternator ground ( in 1/0 ) because i wasnt the one who put it in. Sorry for the mumble jumble of inquires but I basically want to know if i'm showing symptoms of overcharging if so is it the alternators regulator? Any input would be greattt!
I think my alternator is overcharging.. my alt is 200amp alt from db electrical had one before worked great. This one now since i've installed it in my 2000 LS have noticed my lights get 2x brighter when i get up to 1200-1700 rpm. I expect a little more brighter but its honestly distracting at night. I checked voltage and i'm getting 14.9 on one occasion. Another indicator is that my amps shut off for a few seconds sometimes after leaving idle ( i'm guessing my amps shut off at 15 volts ( I have infinity kappa amplifiers ). I have big 3 done 1/0 naturally. my battery sits at 12.2 ( its just stock ). I don't know what to do. I want to just make sure i don't blow up everything. Thanks!
