as i said.. im not braining today lol just a thought, haha... i spose you really cant say that, as the motor might have been designed for the coil to be that way, so a standard coil would actually hurt it..

yea i would imagine that the motor is made for that type of coil.

does the type s,r, or e have this type of coil, and are the motors the same as the type x?

BL is basically motor strength, in english - it measures the motors potential motor force.

thats why when you see Xmax specs at 70% of BL it means that the motor can move the voice coil that distance at 70 percent of potential motor energy.

You can reach higher Xmax however the cone is not as controlled becaus the voice coil is leaving the magnetic gap that the motors eletromagentic energy is focused in. something like that.

keep in mind bl on its own isnt as important as bl/re2..... and we are straying off topic.. it sounds as if imma be purchasing lexani's blown type x.. so imma have to try and get it torn apart, with pics and all.

well i would think the bl would be weak as well. if im thinking about it correctly, both coils would have to have the same size gap on the inside and outside. pulling the coil/former quite a way aways from the pole piece. just a though thought. and plus i wouldnt think thesesubs can take a lot of power/abuse because of that inside coil not staying linear and scraping the pole piece pretty bad. jmo though. probably wrong though haha
