I have an alpine cda-7893 60x4 watts and it recommends that i run a power cable directly to the battery. IS it wise to do so or can i possibly connect it to the factory harness in the car, but im worried i mite start a fire....I am also going to be running a 4 gauge wire to the battery to for my sub amp, need help thanks

id say follow the instructions.... i dont know your vehicle that well but my guess is that it has a factory amp somewhere. so you will be hearing the same sound or very close to the same sounds as with the factory head (will be same speakers/power but prolly with a higher voltage to the amps input lol)

If you are going to use the internal amp, then run the 10ga wire to your battery or to your new distribution block (fed by that 4ga wire you mentioned). If you are going to disable the internal amp and use an external amp instead, I don't see why you can't run it off of the factory harness.
