Alpine PDX F4 vs PG Xenon x200.4

Hi guys, I’m new to the forum and trying to design a system for my e36 BMW. It has the stock H/K system now which I plan to totally replace. I’m looking at Focal v30 6.5” for the front stage and looking into 10” IB subs for the rear deck.

I have a fried with a Phoenix Gold Xenon x200.4 four channel amp that I was planning to use to power the system. My thought was to bridge the rear channels to power the subs but it is a fairly large amp and installing it discreetly will take some effort. After seeing the Alpine PDX F4 and its compact size I’m wondering if it may be a better choice.

How do the two amps compare if size were not an issue? Thanks!

I have an alpine pdx4.100(the older model of the fx4), and I love mine. It has great sound quality, and since its so small it fits into tight spaces without needing as much cooling as other amps. It also looks cool, I think the fx4 looks even better! My vote is the alpine

The F6 is more comparable to the 200.4. Both are great amps, I would pick the PG, though. I wasnt a huge fan of my PDX 4.100. And they arent that efficient. They take a good amount of power to get rated.

I have a xenon 1200.1 and it runs very efficiently and the fan keeps it cool. It also puts out more power than rated I would take the pg over the alpine not only will it be cheaper but it will be more unique. If size is such a big deal than just get the alpine.
