Hi,
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've been victimized by my own stupidity and growing love of sound.
I've just purchased Polk Audio MM 6501 fronts and 691 backs. Should I power them on my current Alpine MRP-F300 @ 50rms per channel or upgrade to an Alpine PDX-F4 at 100+rms per channel? Plenty of people that purchased these speakers on amazon and crutchfield write that their happy powering them with 50rms, but I'm not so sure...
The thing is, if I buy the PDX-F4, then I will be using my MRP-F300 on a DVC sub at 4ohms. Otherwise I can buy an Alpine-M500 and run a DVC 4 ohm in parallel and get 500rms to my future sub instead of 300rms at 4 ohm using two bridged channels off the mrp-f300.
Help please!
