I am going to be running 4 Cerwin Vega V-Max 10's and using an Alpine PDX 1.1000 amp or amps.

How many amps should I use one or two?

If I use one amp for all 4 speakers which speakers should I use?

If I use one amp for each 2 speakers which speakers should I use?

Alpine PDX 1.1000's

Cerwin Vega - V-max 10.2

Cerwin Vega - V-max 10.4

Tell me how this system should be set up...

if they are different voice coils dont run them together
Let me clairify...

Should I use:

4 - Cerwin Vega V-max 10.2 speakers with one Alpine 1.1000 amp or two.

or

4 - Cerwin Vega V-max 10.4 speakers with one Alpine 1.1000 amp or two.

Which speakers, like with what voice coils:

10.2 / 2 - 2 ohm voice coils

or

10.4 / 2 - 4 ohm voice coils

well they're 600w rms per sub and the pdx does 1000w @ 1ohm so get 4 10.4's and 2 amps. you'll wire the 10.4's in parallel for 1ohm for every pair of subs. since you have two pairs you would want two amps.

EDIT: nevermind it looks like the alpine is rated for 2 and 4 ohm loads. 1000w for either load level so really it doesn't matter if you get the 10.2's or the 10.4's. you will need 2 amps to drive them fully regardless, though.
