On the head unit bass is at 0 mid at 5 and treb at 5. Hpf is set to 80 on the head unit. I think i have it in a pretty good range, my alpine head unit maxs at 35 volume and I usually listen to it at about 15. At 15 i can turn the sub volume up to 15 and it hits pretty good. If i want it to hit harder i turn the volume up a little more. However i could probably crank it to 30 and adjust the sub volume accordingly to the type of music and to my taste. I have the gain set on roughly 80% which 80% of 500rms = 400rms just what my two jl audio subs are rated for together, should i turn the gain up a tad more? Maybe 90%?
