Alpine MRV-1507 Tweek it for best performance

I have the MRV-1507 hooked up to two type r 12s. I have an Alpine head unit. I want to know if anyone can tell me what to set the gain and everything to on the amp. Please let me know if you are familar with this amp. I want to get the best out of it. Thanks

The traditional way to set your gains is to have your HU level at 3/4. Have the gain set all the way down, then slowly turn it up until the subs begin to distort. From that point turn the gain down 1/8th to a 1/4 turn so that no distortion is present if the HU is at 100%.

yea what he said... maybe you dont have to back down 1/8 to 1/4 turn. that may be a little too much. just back off until it sounds undistorted.
