Alpine CDA 9887 vs Pioneer DEH-P800PRS

The 800prs or 9887 is nicer if you want to go 3way active. The 980 has a lot of flash and decent sound options w/ bluetooth. I have the 800prs and really like it. The only reason I took it over the 9887 was because it intergrated a little better with my dash and the eq is a little better.

I guess at the end of the day I'll prob lean a little more towards the Pioneer

I think it would suit my dash better too and to be honest there seems not a whole lot between the two units

I've owned the PRS880 and currently use the 9887.

The 880 is a bit easier to navigate, but the iPod control is MUCH slower, and the pause and mute options are buried in a ****ing menu.

The 9887 takes a bit of learning, but it's pretty simple. The iPod control is like scrolling through your iPod, and the pause and mute buttons are on the face (where the should be)

Either way you really can't go wrong both are great units, both offer the features to go with a 2-way + sub active setup. There are things I miss about the 880, but since all my music is on my iPod and I hated not having a pause button on the face, I'll be keeping my 9887.
