I just purchased this headunit, put it in my car, and when I put in a cd the cd player acts like the cd is scratched and skips horribly, then slowly stops working. I cleaned the lens and it did absolutely nothing. You can hear everytime the cd makes one rotations a faint clicking sound. Ones it stops working the cd player will the cd, will rotate about half an inch, then stop for a moment, then turn another half inch, then stop. Can anyone help please?

i would look into getting your money back. sounds like he sold u a half broken unit. honestly though ive used my cd player like twice in the last year i always play music from my ipod. that one has usb i believe right?

I dont really mind, I can't afford another, my only concern is that when I turn the car off, the head unit acts like it gets disconnected. When I turn the car on after its been turned off, my stations are reset, so are the audio settings etc. Im guessing I might have a wire not wired correctly?

that would definitely be the yellow (constant power) wire. make sure that the yellow wire from the car harness (assuming that you got the adapter harness for your car) is connected to the yellow wire from the head unit harness. if that isnt connected your unit will power on and work but when you turn the car off it will act as if u unplugged the unit.
