I have a question regarding the High Pass Filter on the Alpine CDA-9885 Head Unit. A buddy of mine, who used to work at Best Buy, says that the High Pass Filter only works on the Subwoofer RCA and the internal amp. I say it works on the RCAs as well, but he tells me NO. For one of my cars it is a moot point as my amp, a Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Power 1000, has built in crossovers. For my other car, I was considering going with an old school setup and my old school amps do not have crossovers. For the record, I liked the CDA-9885 so much, I put one in each vehicle! Regardless, I just was curious as to how the Alpine High Pass Filter worked.
