whatcha looking for in a deck? they seem pretty evenly matched.

I have a 4 channel amp with 4 speakers. I will add subs with a second amp later on. I need 3 sets of RCA's , I do not want CD's to skip. I would like to set my subs right from the head unit. I dont know ask me a few questions

you've done good to get to these two. The pioneer has a remote, the alpine has a little better S/N ratio. The pioneer has a better on-board amp, which you don't need. I'm not a fan of the alpine bass-engine, but it DOES have iPod controls built in. The pioneer specs non-fading sub output, I don't know about the alpine's.

you do know SE isn't authorized dealers for these, right? the ONLY warranty is through SE. The pioneer has a 2 year the alpine a 1 year.

i'm with him. all things equal, I'd go premier. I like the remote too.

had the 9847. it was nice but pioneer is the one which will get you the ladies.

Do you mean you would like to adjust your amps from the HU? If so, I would go with an Alpine. However, you will need to go with a higher end model to take advantage of the AI-Net feature. About 150 dollars in AI-Net cables will allow you to make all the amp adjustments right from the HUwithout going into the trunk.

It is a nifty feature. Just a thought.
