I bought the head unit thinking i would use it but have since decided to go a different route so the alpine is up for sale

alpine adapter 420i i believe is the model number?

here are the pics i have for now. i'll take more later of the ipod adapter and new wiring harness. it also has a remote but is pretty scratched up.

i think im just going to run my panasonic indash for now and buy an audio control dqxs. i have toyed with the idea of getting a clarion drz or even a mcintosh deck but i really like my panasonic deck. i have also considered the alpine 9835(which from what i understand is the same deck just with bio light display). i honestly just didnt like the display on this deck which is why im getting rid of it lol.

Sounds good. Yeah I love my 9835, but I've kinda trashed mine. I want a new one now. The 9835 has a better display, adjustable lighting to match your dash and to me it just looks cleaner/less busy than the older ones that had writing all over the faceplate. Don't get me wrong, I'd love one to do an all old school build one day. But not now. You should look into the Audison bitone too. Amazing for only $800 retail...

I just sold a Alpine 9813 9815 is top of line that year and that deck is badass better than the new alpine stuff.

I never really got to use it. I just powered it up to make sure it worked. looks are not what makes the system sound good and i believe i could make my set up sound pretty d@mn good with this head unit (2 way active plus sub). plus im tired of having my flip out screen blocking my vents and i already have this and all the stuff to make me happy with it. and i wouldnt have to hunt for a prs800 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif
