i have a 86 mustang gt with an alpine cda 9811 ive checked the groudn and harness and power everything is fine. the radio is bolted by a stainless steel bracket holding the back. it skips on bumps. as soon as it hits one bump its gonna start skipping on the next and the one after until theres no more bumps. it doesnt seem to do this when i just started the car after 30min or so. what could be wrong? i havent installed the metra kit. i really like this radio and i would love to fix this problem. you guyz r the experts im just a noob im open for nething thanks guyz:)

im driving and the cd skips for about 1 second and resumes play the car is in mint condition never tooken out in the winter very well kept. i got the suspension and shocks checked they said there good.

the deck was made in 2004 its 3 years old. do i really need that metra kit to install the radio? is it going to help? what else should i try doing?

the radio is in the din cage that came with it and in the back there a piece of metal with a whole so i screw in the back of the radio to keep it from moving. but almsot every bump i hit the cd skips out of 10 bumps the cd skips 8 times for 1 second.

Sounds like there might be a problem with the deck. It shouldnt be skipping that easy. I have had 3- 9835s in my mustangs and not one has skipped. Makes me think there is a problem with the transport being loose or something like that.
