Almost 2012!

I agree with everything except cash. Money want mean crap if the world ends. Items will be currency. What good does a million dollars do if there are no stores to use such money? Every store in the US will get looted. Every port will have millions of people waiting on ships to arrive so they can take whatever is on board. Guns and family and water thats my list.
cash in the form of gold or other currency then? I would head to a ver remote wooded area and set up a pereimeter. other options include hidden canyonns and valleys. that you can ahve a vantage point. Escape route, maybe tunnel network like the drug smuglers. Getting key players with access to military surplus would be good.

the world is not going anywhere. people are. we will all die, doesnt matter when does it? the planet doesnt need us to survive. It was here first, it will be here last. Even if the sun emits a solar flare that burns up our atmosphere, the would will still be here. there will be a new enviorment, It may not be inhabitable, but it is still an atmosphere and still here. we will all die no matter what. so whats the point of preparing for that. Prepare if you plan to hide and fight back later. rebuild later. like you do when you have huricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes. even invasions, world at war. we can fight back. but not a solar flare. the radiation alone would kill us all instantly. the heat would disinigrate our bodies and most of our structures.

I dnt see gold or cash (paper) having any value. Water, gas, ammo will be the money of the day. Ur family can’t eat or drink gold. Think of it this way would you give 1 of your 5 gallons of water away for a gold bar? No in the real world we would just kill the man with the gold and keep the water. When ur on ur own then the real human mentality comes out of us and we become animals. Our past proves this to be the case.

Lots of guns and ammo cause you will need them. If you have what I need then best believe I will try and take it. That is human nature.

LA CRX gimmie sum guns yo
Pawn shops are full of them on the cheap. Dosent need to be fancy just needs to fire. Gunbroker.com also can save u alot of money on massive amounts of ammo on the cheap as well as guns. Very hard to find 7.62 around my neck of the woods but found a couple 1000 rounds on there pretty cheap.

Yea, I need to get some. I had a 45 1911, but time tough, pawned it. Now I need to get something else. any suggestions. on a budget I should be on the look out for.

I know I know but I still say best gun for any situation is an ak-47 cheap ammo, cheap gun(under $300 all day), reliable, and it’s deadly. Pistol wise I trust my glock to fire when trigger is pulled. Bought it off GB.com for well under any retail shops price.

Here in my Ga home, I have about 10 days supply of food and rotate water in and out for me and the family.

We also have 986 acre's here with plenty of deer, turkey and so on. We are about 10mins from Ft. Benning.

I just did an ammo count...

2800 rnds of .223 for the Mini and M4

400 rnds of .45 for the 1911's

125 rnds of 9mm for the Glock (I know, I will work on this one)

1100 rnds of 7.62x51(.308)

300 rnds of 30-30's

4500 rnds of .22lr ammo...I just found 3 500rnd boxes that I did not know I had...lol should be enough

375 rnds of #2 buck shot in 20ga

200 rnds of misc 20ga shells

400 rnds of .300 win mag

and 150 rnds of .44 mag.

I also have gear and supplies to reload(brass, bullets, powder, ect) .308, 30-30, and 300 mag.

Back in Tampa, I have about 5 days supply of food and water and some more ammo and a few more guns. I also keep about 30 gals of fuel there as well.

Here in Ga, I have about 80 gals of fuel. For 2 months out of the year, I work for a PMC here in Ga next to Ft. Benning. My (our families) property is only about 40 mins from my home here and that is where we would meet in an emergency if needed.

Hopefully I (all of us) will never need to use/implement these items for anything other than recreational but its a good thing to be prepared as best as you can for a little bit of everything.

I do not believe the world will end, because if it dose, no amount of preparing, food, or guns will help with that. But for natural disasters, foreign invasion, goverment/economic collapse, it can and will help.

With that, I also have my own gun range on the property......I think I will go and have some fun today!!

IMO, look for something that is somewhat common in your area, and widely available ammo. Something (rifle wise) in .308, .223, 7.62x39, 30-30 ect as ammo will be much easier to find. A good .22 cal rifle is on other good one to have. Very cheep ammo, ammo is everywhere, deadly, and the ammo is very lite so you can carry a crap ton of it.

For hand guns, .357, 9mm, and .45. It would also be a good idea to have a shotgun as well.

Like was said above, nothing fancy is needed. It just needs to shoot and be reliable.
