I just received two HE2 10" subs but I'm new to all of this car audio stuff so I would appreciate if you could help me a little.

Everybody is telling me that I cannot just buy any box, that I need to buy a box with the exact cf. Here is where I don't understand because the recommended volume is from .375 to 1.75 cf in a sealed box. so what is the best cfeet for those subs?

I mostly listen to rap music

All you have to do is find a box within the specs in order for the subs to perform properly. If you listen to rap music then a box that is closer to the 1.75 ft cubed will give you a boomier bass sound.

Well it't true that you wouldn't want to use just ANY box but you can use a box that is anywhere within the suggested range for your 10's. If you wanted a sealed box I would go for something in the upper range of the suggested chamber volume 1.25-1.75ft^3. However if you mostly listen to rap and you want them to play as loud as possible HE2's can also be used in a ported encosure, the suggested range is .75-1.75ft^3 and agian I would use something in the upper part of that range. Bandpass boxes would also be an option for you but I personaly wouldn't get one. Bottom line you can put these subs in a LOT of different boxes you don't need an exact size. peace
