I've decided to try to get a loud setup with a pair of 8's. I've narrowed it down to either the Audiobahn 8" Excursions or the Kicker 8" L5's. Which would you guys recommend? I'm just doing this for a little project...use up some spare time.

Well I can't seem to find much more when it comes to pure spl...atleast for under $200. I'm sure the 8" K's would pound like hell, but I don't have the money for those expensive beotches.

a guy at this last competition we jsut had a few days ago hit 141 with 1 10" L5.. Im sure 2 of them 8s done right would slam...

i wonder if ur talking about me? i don't think my box is shitty..but hey..opinions..hehe

i have gotten a 139.6 w/ passanger side window down(port facing drivers side, helped it to unload..or something)

i would do L7 8's over the L5's...L5's over the bahns...e8a have always interested me...treo makes some loud ass stuff..and of course my beloved hx2's get loud...

the 8A might dissapoint you if you are looking for straight SPL... take a look at the RE 8" driver - still available from some of their online dealers...

and Genuine Canadian Audio has them still listed as well... I ahve seen some ompressive numbers from teh little buggers...

well if u got the L5 8's that is like having the cone area of a round 10 so that would work out better than u think if ur doing this for comps. idk what the hell i'm thinking. i'm tired and confused.

what are the specs on the RE 8's?
