Both good songs but I prefer teh Alice in chains as well, Sounds liek their old stuff, I dont really dig Pearl Jams sound the past few yrs. If anyone is interested I havea pair of philly Pearl Jam tix for the tuesday show. ( shameless self plug)

Ten was my favorite Pearl Jam album, but their sound has changed a lot since then.

Alice in Chains kinda stuck with their sound and it's working for em.

Both great bands.....but, New Alice in Chains FTW! Looks like a mixed dude with a afro is playing guitar/back-up singing as well....very different!

I never really thought Pearl Jam was grunge. I think they just surfaced in that era and was judged as grunge. Compare them to Alice in Chains, Nirvana, STP... Bands like that. They sound way different.

Pearl Jam is a great band, but I've always preferred AIC. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell did some amazing music together.

Besides, this is an apples to oranges type of comparison. Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains are not at all similar...

Very true, "Black" is Epic , and so is "Down in a hole" , hard to compare either one of them to anyone else(more so for AIC)
