Album of the year (so far)

Haven't heard of a lot of these bands besides Sevendust, who I have seen twice and Chevelle, which I have their new CD is ok, not as good as their last though. Might get the new sevendust CD soon.

My album of the year would be Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. Good shit!

I've seen Sevendust twice, and Chevelle 3 times.

I have that Rocco album... ripped it from a friend but never listened to it...

Cool, would love to see Chevelle, but just never had the chance too.

Rocco's album rocks. Is like a mix between blues, rock and alternative. I think its different. Not really hard, but a nice album overall.

Could have guessed that by your name //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Saosin was so much better with Anthony on vocals. BTW, the new Circa cd should be leaked in the next week, my sources tell me.
there old music was pretty good. Saosins ep that is. However, the album they put out with the new guy is pretty bad ***. Track 1-3, 8-9 are amazing tracks. I used to play that album all the time. I'm in a tool mood atm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

no way you listen to them too? I've seen them before, Anthony Green sucked live but the band sounded amazing. I haven't listened to the full album but Juturna was amazing.
Sure do listen to them. I'm a big Anthony Green fan and have followed all his projects. There are a variety of proposed reasons he sucks live, but I think it's either because it is hard to duplicate his perfect vocals and/or his drug habits.

I liked Saosin's EP (Translating the Name) because it was a little more post-hardcore. Anthony was great singing and the drums were simply fantastic. It's hard to believe that they didn't make more of an effort to keep Pat McGrath in the band. As for their first LP (the self-titled one), it took me a little bit to get used to it because I had been a faithful listener of the EP for several years. However, once I had a few listening sessions with the newest LP, I came to like the more alt-rock sound they had. So Simple is a very good track and Cove's vocals aren't much worse than Anthony's, in my opinion.

edit: For those interested, Pat McGrath is in a Metallica tribute band now called "Creeping Death". He used to be a drum tech for Slayer and his talent is really unbelievable.

I actually really like the new Maroon 5 album. On top of it just being good music, it sure sounds good in the car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

For argument sake we will blame it on the drugs b/c he looked tweaked the fuc* out, hahaha. But like I said the band was awesome.

Well for the longest time I would have agreed with you. I loved that EP cd, the drummer is just extremely talented. I loved the guitar tones that cd had as well, they kind of strayed away from there old pinch harmonics and lead parts as the EP had(which I bitc*ed about when I first heard the self titled). But track one off the self titled caught my attention for sure. I mean seriously how it starts out with the guitars and then the drums and then the guy comes in, "you'd better learn that this will not go over and over." I dunno I think it's an amazing song.

I'm going to warped tour this year and maybe I'll see Circa again but I will not drive further than 2 hours(they've played at Tulsa before) to see them. They just aren't that great live, Anthony just messes it up that badly.
