If i build a box that is 33.5 inches long and 16 inches high and 12-14 inches deep how much airspace and will it be enough for my 2 12 w6v2s. They require 0.90-1.50 cu.ft. (25.0-42.0 liters). I know that this box is big enough for these subs but i want to know how to figure this out. I also want to know if i should go sealed or ported...a ported box needs 1.25-1.75 cu.ft. (35.4-49.5 liters) for each driver...thanks and let me know this box will be chambered becasue im running two JL 500/1

go with ported.

it needs to be 33.5x16x16 to make 3.53 cubes, which will be 3.5 cubes interior after you make a center divider... so thats 1.75 cubes per side

you can make a round 5 inch plastic port 9.71 inches long.. and it'll be ported to 35 hz for daily driving

depends on exactly what your internal dimension will be. knowing the outside dimensions is only half of it, becuase it will depend on thickness of the wood you use and if you inset your sides or anything of that sort. to calculate your air space all you have to do is take the INTERNAL width times the INTERNAL height times the INTERNAL length then you divide this by 1728 (which is how many square inches there are in 1 cubic foot. Example: box with internal dimensions of 28 x 16 x 16 is 2688. 2688 divided by 1728 is 1.56. So airspace in a box this size would be 1.5 cubic feet.
